This blog is about Enterprise Search, Intranet Search, Desktop Search as well as Database or Structured content search. Internet Search Engines such as Google and Microsoft Bing will be referenced and discussed. I will offer insights, opinions and links to articles, news items and original content.

I have over 20 years experience in the Information Technology field working at Fortune 100 corporations to small startup companies with emerging technologies. I have  a has a passion for structured (SQL Server & relational databases), unstructured (FAST ESP & search engines) and social media (social search & collaboration) technologies and believes that unifying these diverse disciplines will provide businesses and customers with the best of these worlds.

I have been actively involved in the book “Professional Microsoft Search: FAST Search, SharePoint Search, and Search Server” for over a year working with some great colleagues and have contributed and did most of the Technical Editing for this book.  My past work has included technical sales, premier support, requirement analysis, architectural design and implementing search technologies in various roles including Search Architect.
